Convent of the Transfiguration, Mount of Olives, Jerusalem: The nuns of the Convent depend on donations from pilgrims and benefactors to survive and to maintain their Convent. The bell tower of this monastery, known as the "Russian Candle," is undergoing major renovations.

St Mary Magdalene Church, Gethsemane: As with the convent on the Mt of Olives, the nuns have little opportunity to provide for their needs themselves. Because of the recent renovation of the roof and new cupolas, we can now restore the interior of this magnificent example of Russian church architecture.
